This group is for starting a science cafe. A science cafe is a meeting of science enthusiasts to learn about an interesting topic. An expert about the subject will be featured during the meeting with everybody able to ask questions. Usually the science cafe is in a venue with food and drinks. Anybody who wants to help start the science cafe or come to the meetings is welcome to join!

In the similar vein to other Cafe Scientifique forums, we will be inviting local researchers to share their passion with the general public in an informal setting.  There will be no need for any scientific background to attend these events except a desire to learn and understand current issues from a scientific perspective.  An introduction to the topic by the presenter limited to 10-15 minutes followed by an interactive Q&A/discussion session.
